Okay, so I admit I'm kinda weird. I latch on to some odd news and stories of the day. Well I found another story that reminded me of my youth... I know there are some big fans of Airwolf out there. You know, that 80's television series with Earnest Borgnine.. and the stealth supersonic helicopter with an impressive arsenal of weapons always ready to go.... That was on roughly around the same time as Michael Knight and the Knight Rider. just to refresh your memory.. I found the show open for you. But here's my point... There's an American company that has comeup with a way to get rid of the Helicopter sound. So It's pretty cool how it works. It's not just the helicopter blades but these other little flaps that move really fast to get rid of the blade vortex that causes the "chopper" sound.reducing sound by up to 5 dB. Whatever, I'm no expert. I just think its cool. Here's a link to the site
Why Do I love NASA?

I Don't know why I love stories about NASA going in to space. Stories that will grind to a halt at the end of 2010. This is officially the 131st space flight of the Shuttle program. Maybe the wonder of it all was instilled in me as a child... often getting a break from school just to watch the shuttle blast off into space. Maybe it's the NASCAR effect (buy a ticket and wait for a big crash). Or maybe its the hopes and dreams of a generation to be able to travel at the speed of light. I mean, our movies, our sci-fi television programs are filled with stories to fulfill this desire to investigate what is out there in the deep black void of space. Whatever combination of these it is.. I keep watching... thinking about it every time I fly or find myself under a starlit sky. Discovery, the next space shuttle scheduled to fly to the International Space Station, was hoisted and attached to its external fuel tank and twin solid rocket boosters on Feb. 22 and 23 in the Vehicle

I Don't know about you guys, but I've never really been into Easter like most of my friends. As a child... and into adulthood I never understood the custom of having a big white bunny drop candy off at my house.... Then he dropped off a big chocolate statue of himself which i never could finish. The jelly beans didn't bother me though. I never understood the word Easter.. I just figured it was in the bible somewhere... Surprise it's not. It turns out... many of the "things" we associate with Easter come from pagan rituals. In light of that many church have done away with the word Easter altogether during Services. Instead we call it Resurrection Sunday and instead tying it into the end of the season of lent and not focusing Christ's death and burial but his resurrection *with* power. According to Christian Answers.net 1- the word Easter: Most reference books say that the name “Easter” is derived from the Eastre, the Teutonic goddess of Spring. ( aga

As we all 'know, this is black history month. I've been looking for a story in Connecticut that really bring the history of the state out. Every year i seem to learn something new. Which is great. The black community is so rich in black history. What I was going to do was pull something from this Black history calendar. It was great tool for me and still is. There's 52 weeks in a year.. and 52 examples of African Americans or other black people who have made history. Check it out right here I really think it is important to go beyond Fredrick Douglas and Martin Luther King, Jr. in order to really get this generation to understand that they can achieve greatness. I'm all about knowing where you've been to understand where you're going.... even it's just to realize that we're off track somehow. (and not only when February rolls around.) Earlier this month, one news story really struck a chord with me. The Connecticut Post focused on some very, very old
Why would I do that? -Go to the zoo?

Yesterday, I took a trip with my son to the Bronx zoo (if you can't tell from all the picture uploaded.) I'm still recovering. Sorry about the overkill on pictures. but we really had a great time. When I found out that His pre-school was going to the zoo, it was a no-brainer. We were definitely going. My crazy work schedule has a lot of advantages. Being able to hang with EJ is one of them. Because I clock off before most people have their second cup of coffee, I can do whatever I want with the rest of my day... which usually starts with eating then sleeping. But not on this day. I would sacrifice that sleep part to spend some QT with EJ. So, starting off right after work, I was surprisingly awake. I don't know if I was anxious or excited, but I didn't sleep a wink on the way to the zoo. Probably better off because I avoided the post-nap attitude. Anyway the trip was shorter than I expected. The 30 or so kid s were very well-behaved, and th
